Programme Aim

 

The goal of the EDLE programme is to form a new class of outstanding, highly skilled doctorate candidates, able to contribute to the international academic and policy debate.

Through EDLE they receive the knowledge and skills to successfully pursue their careers in national and international organizations (private and public), promoting efficient laws and regulations and fostering economic progress. More research-oriented candidates will be able to pursue an academic career. Successful EDLE candidates are expected extends the frontier of knowledge and to publish their research in international field journals.

 

 

Research topics

 

The EDLE network can count with a large faculty able to offer supervision on a very large set of topics. Depending of the academic background of the candidate (in economics or law), the thesis can be more economically or legally oriented. Also, some thesis are more theoretically oriented, others more policy oriented. Research topics may be proposed by the candidate or by the faculty. Associate partners (from the business and economic community) also propose topics, which may later lead to collaborations and internships.
